About Father Martin

"He is the master mentor who teaches and touches at the same time."

Dr. Robert Ackerman

Father Martin resides in Aberdeen, Maryland with Mae and Tommy Abraham.  Father is retired and no longer travels to speak publicly.  In recent years, he has been challenged by various health problems.  Father is now undergoing regular physical therapy and dialysis.  On June 15, 2008, he will celebrate 50 years of sobriety!

"The man and the message is the yardstick by which everything that has followed his lead can be measured."

Earnie Larsen

In February 2007, Father and Mae sold Kelly Productions, Inc. and the rights to his books, audio material and films. Our goal is clear.  How can we ensure that Father Martin's timeless message is never forgotten and that his films continue to touch the lives of individuals and families affected by addiction? The staff at FatherMartin.com is committed and passionate about sustaining Father's legacy and carrying on his work.

"His DVDs and CDs remain classics, which clearly shed light on the disease of addiction, as well as the recovery process."

Jerry Moe

Currently, Father Martin offers 22 films on DVD, 6 audio CDs, and three books.  We are continually in the process of converting material from our archives and updating our catalogue.  Father has remained a tremendous supporter of our work at Kelly Productions and is very hopeful that this site will emerge as a useful resource for people affected by addiction.  Of similar importance, it is our hope that this sober community will provide a suitable platform for Father's body of work.  We would like to introduce Father's timeless message of hope and recovery to a new generation of people!

"No one has meant more to so many struggling from alcoholism and addiction than Father Martin."

On June 15, 1958, Father Martin entered Guest House in Lake Orion, Michigan, a treatment center for the clergy.  There, Father with the help and guidance of Austin Ripley and Dr. Walter Green, began his own journey to recovery.  After his experience at Guest House, Father's life changed dramatically.  He has gone on to touch the lives of millions of recovering alcoholics and addicts through his unique ability to educate on the disease of addiction.
